Cool Ass Version of Hate Me

Cool Ass released a cover version of Hate Me by Blue October on Mother’s Day, in preparation for the release of its first original song in September. “Hate Me is a bit different from SOB (Song Of a Bitch),” explains Marc Marut, the man behind the music. “I’ve always liked that song so I wanted to do a cover version of it, it’s a very emotional song. My version’s got a nice acoustic feel with a good buildup, and a lot of people even like it better than the original. When I release SOB though, it’s going to blow people’s socks off!”

After SOB is released Cool Ass plans on recording an LP. “I already have an album written, it’s just a matter of recording it,” Marc explains. “I’d love to release it on vinyl too, I’m big fan of collecting records. I really love the artwork and the coloured and etched vinyl you can get nowadays. Not only does it sound great, but it’s something really special. It’s a work of art in itself.”
